The Uganda Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (UFAAS) is currently partnering with the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC) University’s project on the Integration of Gender and Nutrition within Agricultural Extension Services (INGENAES). The INGENAES project supports the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-led Presidential Feed the Future initiative, which strives “to increase agricultural production and the incomes of both men and women in rural areas who rely on agriculture for their livelihoods.”

One of the key areas of focus of the INGENAES engagement in Uganda is to create a robust community of practice around gender and nutrition integration in extension through networking, learning and information exchange and experience sharing. On Thursday 1st September, at Hotel Africana was the official launch of the INGENAES community of practice in Uganda. Discussions are hosted on AFAAS’ virtual platform in the group Gender and Nutrition in Extension (Community of Practice)
