I would like to know the maize varieties that mature in two months and where i can access it in Malawi.

I know one variety that was released in February 2016 by SeedCo Malawi Limited. It is an ultra-early maturing (90 days) variety called Kalulu SC301. The variety was developed to be grown in semi-arid environments to tolerate heat and drought. So if this is a very early maturing maize variety, know that we do not have registered maize varieties in Malawi that can mature in sixty days (60) or there about.
It is my hope that research scientist will develop one or two varieties that can mature in such a short time to increase number of cropping seasons in a year and therefore respond to food security issues humpered by climate changes.
