The UK Department of International Development is funding the SAIRLA project to generate new evidence and design tools to enable governments, investors and other key actors to deliver more effective policies and investments in sustainable agricultural intensification (SAI) that strengthen the capacity of poorer farmers’, especially women and youth, to access and benefit from SAI. SAIRLA will facilitate the development of multi-stakeholder learning platform at international, regional and national levels. Participating research organisations, existing agricultural research programmes, African research policy forums and other key stakeholders will utilise SAIRLA’s Learning Alliance to inform, generate, share and ultimately use the research output generated. AFAAS is following the Learning Alliance with very keen interest. You can get more information about the project from here: http://www.sairla.nri.org/ and about the Learning Alliance from Richard Lamboll email: [email protected]
