As countries like Uganda strive to attain lower middle income status by 2020, addressing gender gaps would enhance achievement of this goal.

Domestic violence (at 70% in Uganda) which often affects women leads to inadequate agricultural production as many women are denied access to property and at the end lead to an un balanced nutrition within families.
