In the ten-year period between 1995 and 2005, the UK Department for International Development (DFID) funded a Crop Post-Harvest Programme (CPHP) that commissioned over 170 projects addressing post-harvest constraints experienced by poor households in South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. Outputs of these projects included technologies, protocols, strategies and policy recommendations. These were aimed at different types of decision-makers: (inter)national research programmes, governments, traders, non-governmental organizations, agribusinesses, farmers and consumers.
