I am Director of JOY Goat Development Programme, and National Mobiliser for the U-Goats network.
My passion is to see proper breed registration in Uganda. Initially this is so that we can identify suitable breeding stock from the exotic imports and their crosses. But beyond that I want to see the development of well adapted breeds of goat by applying selective breeding to low-grade crosses; so that in the future we do not have to choose between productivity and ease of management.
